TWU Head Coach Ben Josephson
“Coming back from California a lot of what we’ve prepared for is this huge weekend against a really good UBC team. Much of what we were doing in California is trying to make sure we’re ready to play a great Canada West game. and I think the guys did enough to win 3-0. Our high end was really good, but the low end was tough and that was the message. We continue to have this really good top of the line that we keep going for longer, which is the beautiful part. “
“But the unruly play, the errors in ball control and the amount of things under control that we don’t control become problematic and it was still there tonight.”
“We had a nice lead in the first one and made five consecutive mistakes. We kept losing points throughout this game and things that were under our control. Now UBC has gained a lot of points because they’re great. But we bled a lot of points because we were just unruly and they’re the ones who are going to kill us. They didn’t do it tonight, so we’re happy to have won, and to winning 3-0. But we’re not happy with the unruly play. “
TWU and UBC will face off again tomorrow night, Saturday, November 27. The game time at Langley Events Center is 7:00 p.m. PT. The match can be seen live on Canadawest.tv.
