Difficult weekend for WolfPack clubs; TRU volleyball teams should go home

The TRU WolfPack men’s and women’s volleyball teams will play home games this weekend, marking the first Canada West volleyball action at the Tournament Capital Center since November.

The TRU WolfPack men’s and women’s volleyball teams will play home games this weekend, marking the first Canada West volleyball action at the Tournament Capital Center since November.

TRU will host the Fraser Valley Cascades of Abbotsford, with the men starting at 5 p.m. Friday and the women following at 6:45 p.m.

Rematches will take place on Saturday, with the men starting at 2:00 p.m. and the women following at 3:45 p.m.

Both WolfPack teams lost two games to the UBC Thunderbirds this weekend in Vancouver.

The TRU men slipped to 1-5 on the season. The WolfPack women are 0-6.

Meanwhile, none of the TRU basketball teams could find the win column against the Trinity Western Spartans this weekend at Langley.

On the men’s side, Trinity beat TRU 94-78 on Saturday and 78-73 on Friday. The Pack men have dropped to 4-6 this season.

The Spartans beat the WolfPack 79-45 on Saturday in the women’s game. TRU fell to 1-10.

UBC will host TRU this weekend in men’s and women’s basketball.
